Nintendo Switch 2 launches June 5 at $449.99.

Nintendo Switch 2 is now available, launching on June 5 with a suggested retail price of $449.99 in the United States. The new hardware builds on the original Switch’s hybrid concept while adding updated controllers, faster performance, and new ways to connect with friends.

Alongside the standard system, Nintendo is also offering a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle for $499.99, which includes the console and a download code for Mario Kart World.

GameChat highlights

GameChat is designed to make online play feel more like local multiplayer. Players can start a chat by pressing the C button on the right Joy-Con 2 controller. Nintendo says the built-in microphone supports voice chat while playing with up to 12 people, and up to four friends can share their screens. Video chat is available when a compatible USB-C camera is connected. GameChat can be used without a Nintendo Switch Online membership until the end of March 2026; after that, a membership will be required.
