Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive, was named Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025. The show aired live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and placed Expedition 33 ahead of nominees Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
The Game Awards later said the 2025 broadcast reached an estimated 171 million global livestreams. Expedition 33 also took several major category wins, including Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Performance, Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best RPG.
