Supergiant Games has announced the full 1.0 release of Hades II, setting the official launch date for September 25, 2025. The update will be delivered automatically and free of charge to existing Early Access players on Steam and the Epic Games Store, while new players will be able to purchase the game digitally on PC as well as on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Supergiant says Hades II takes advantage of Nintendo Switch 2 hardware with 120 frames-per-second performance at 1080p in TV Mode. In Handheld Mode on Switch 2, the game targets 60 frames-per-second at 1080p. On the original Nintendo Switch, the game runs at 60 frames-per-second at 720p in both modes. Players who buy the Nintendo Switch version can download a free upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version if they have both consoles.
The studio also confirmed cross-saves between Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and the Steam and Epic Games Store versions, with save transfer handled through an in-game menu.
A retail (physical) edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for November 20, 2025. According to Supergiant, the package is compatible with the original Nintendo Switch and includes a Character Compendium booklet, a download code for the Hades II Original Soundtrack, and a reversible cover. The listed price for North America is $49.99.
Hades II entered Early Access in May 2024. Supergiant says the team used player feedback throughout Early Access, and describes Hades II as the biggest game the studio has made so far.
